Just over a year ago we were contacted by the Nevada Pest Control Association about producing a newsletter for them. They showed us examples of what other associations were doing and where they ultimately wanted to go. They weren’t sure what they could afford, but knew they would have to sell ads in the publication to pay for it. Some example they showed us were merely copied sheets of paper stapled in the corner. We knew we could do better for them.
We came back with a budget and design proposal to produce a 16-page, full-color, 8.5″ x 11″ magazine. They were ecstatic with the professional look and all they could get, while staying within their budget. We are now on our second year of production and have sold out the advertising space available in each issue without a lot of effort. The national advertisers recognize the quality and value they are getting by appearing in the Nevada Pest Control Associations quarterly magazine.
The association’s board is a pleasure to work with and we couldn’t ask for a better client. They are always telling us, “Whatever you guys think. You’re the experts.” The association plans on expanding the magazine and we continue to work on cost savings methods so they can reach their goals and we can grow together.
